Every rental automatically includes the following coverage.
✔ Full Insurance (C.D.W.)
Full Insurance (Collision Damage Waiver – C.D.W.) means that the customer is relieved from responsibility for vehicle damage.
This applies according to the rental terms.
In many cases, full insurance is included free of charge.
This depends on the car type or the offer period.
However, when it is not included, full insurance is available with an extra daily fee.
The daily cost depends on the car model and ranges from €8 to €10 per day, as mentioned on our Extras pages.
For this reason, our team always informs you clearly in advance whether full insurance is included or optional.
✔ Third-Party Liability Insurance
This insurance covers damage or injury caused to other people, vehicles or property.
✔ Theft & Fire Insurance
You are protected if the vehicle is stolen or damaged by fire.

However, insurance is not valid if the vehicle is driven off-road.

You do not need a credit card to rent a car with us.
However, you may pay with any type of credit or debit card, if you prefer.

Small scratches can happen, especially when driving in a new country.
For this reason, we never charge for small scratches, even with basic insurance.
Our policy is based on fairness and honesty.
It is not based on finding reasons to charge our customers.
🚫 What Full Insurance Does NOT Cover
However, full insurance is not valid in certain cases.
These include:

Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs

Serious traffic violations or ignoring traffic signs
In addition, insurance is not valid if you leave the scene of an accident without informing:

the police

or the insurance provider
Finally, loss or damage of the car key, including water damage (for example, swimming with the key), is not covered.
In these cases, the customer may be held responsible for the related costs.

Do I need a credit card for insurance?
No. A credit card is not required to rent a car or to be insured.
Are small scratches charged?
No. Small scratches are never charged, even with basic insurance.
Does insurance cover tires and windows?
Yes. Tires, wheels, windows and undercarriage damage are included.
However, this does not apply if the car is driven off-road.
Is off-road driving covered?
No. Insurance is not valid for off-road driving.
What happens if the car is damaged?
If the car is damaged and cannot be used, a replacement car will be provided whenever possible.
The maximum replacement time is 4 hours.
In most cases, the average replacement time is around 1 hour and 30 minutes, depending on location and availability.
